The AH-280 high gain ground station helical antenna uses extended stubs to provide the greater gain while maintaining the wider beam-width and designed to provide wideband directional transmission/reception of radio signals from 240-325 MHz band. The AH-280 high gain helical antenna is highly suitable to provide the uninterrupted communications and Jamming from 240-325MHz band. AH-280 is military grade high gain helical antenna provides superior performance as compare to significantly larger and more expensive products. Our AH series high gain helical antennas are smaller than conventional yagi antenna.

The AH-280 High Gain Ground Station Helical Antenna is supplied with a specially designed mounting arrangement to hold the antenna at back end by using stainless steel mounting brackets to withstand the higher wind rating. The AH-280 high gain helical antenna is supplied with a specially designed mounting arrangement for steering the antenna in both planes, 360 degrees in Azimuth and 90 degrees in Elevation for terrestrial and satellite link. Both LHCP and RHCP models are available. The part number for LHCP version helical antenna is AH-280-LHCP and AH-280-RHCP is for RHCP version of high gain helical antenna. AH-280 high gain helical antenna is highhly suitable for UAV anti drone application without having the requirement of multiple antenna. Only one antenna AH-280 helical antenna is capable of jamming/communicatinf SATCOM band saving the cost and space of infrastructurs.

The AH-280, like all our AH series high gain ground station helical antennas, utilizes right hand circular polarization to minimize the effects of multipath interference. The AH-280 High Gain Helical Antenna is heavy duty, broadband and rugged helical antennas, supplied with fiberglass radome to protect the antenna from environment. The radiating element of high gain high power helical antenna is made of high quality high strength enameled coated copper wire and winding is secure alongside wall of fiber glass enclosure/hosing/radome to keep the helical winding/radiating element to its appropriate location to prevent RF inter-modulation. The AH-280 high gain helical antenna is designed as per MIL-STD-810G standards.

The AH-280 circular polarized high gain ground station helical antenna is completely protected within a high-tech ruggedized radome which is made of high strength fiber glass encosure to ensure survivability in the worst environments conditions The heavy duty fiber glass enclosure has excellent transparency for RF signals and enough strength to withstand more than specified wind loads. Cylindrical enclosure is used for low wind loading and for minimal effect of ice formation on the high power high gain broad band antenna operation as well as providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The high gain antenna is supplied with olive green MIL color finish. Other customized housing/radome color can also be supplied on request.

Our AH-280 directional high gain ground station helical antennas are supplied with two-axis steering system (tracking mechanism to rotate the UAVs Ground Station Antennas manually in azimuth and elevation plane). A less complex but compact multi-sector antenna array provides intermediate range coverage for communicating with a UAV. This type of arrangement can be used for quick deployment and tactical applications.

Both, Right Hand Circular Polarized High Gain Helical Antenna and Left Hand Circular Polarized High Gain Helical antenna can be supplied. For higher gain requirement, the Helical antenna can be supplied in DUAL stacked or QUAD stacked arrays. The listed antennas are basic and generic models.
