The HFLW-230 Long Wire Broad Band Antenna offer optimum performance, fully automatic, low VSWR operation over the HF band 2-30 MHz and suitable for receiving, transmitting or HF spectrum monitoring or surveillance with polarization diversity. Antenna Experts HFLW-230 is highly suitable for military tactical application foe emergency services where quick assembly is required. One person can install the HF long wire antenna within 5 minutes.

The HF broadband long wire antenna propagates NVIS, local, medium or long distance. This HF broadband dipole antenna is ready to go right out of the box, no taps to change frequency, nothing to tune - ever! Designed for the military and built to last. The HFLW-230 can work any frequency you want without going through a lot of knob twirling and measurements to get a good VSWR match - just set your frequency and go!

Designed for the military and built to last. No Antenna Tuning Unit (ATU) is required for its operation. HF long wire antenna matching circuit BALUN is part of antenna. No active circuit is involved to design hf long wire antenna. The HF long wire antenna is fully passive thus ensuring many years of maintenance free life. The HF Broad Band Long Wire Antenna provides optimum performance over complete HF band, eliminating the requirement of multiple antennas, minimizing the cost and setup requirements.

The HFLW-230 long wire broadband antenna is designed for broad band operation for fixed stations application as well as tactical application. The radiating element of long wire antenna is either made of high quality copper wires with insulator or type 303 marine grade stainless steel wire which are ultra corrosion resistant alloy to ensure the survivability in worst environment conditions.

The HF long wire antenna matching circuit BALUN is designed in such way that it can be removed with simple hand tools in case of failure without dismantling the complete long wire antenna. The HF long wire antenna uses N type female connector to withstand the 250 Watts average power handling capacity.

The HFLW-230 HF butterfly antenna is completely passive type which allow to receive and transmit various polarized electrical field signals. The HFLW-230 longwire antenna operates at D.C. ground with low resistance discharge path for protection against lightning and immunity to noise. HFLW-230 HF long wire antenna balun is completely sealed in Nylone housing which is further sealed in epoxy resin for complete weather protection.

The HF broadband long wire antenna is designed 40 meters long wire with a matching Balun. The HF long wire antenna can be configured for multirole such as:

- Horizontal Dipole configuration is suitable for short or medium range omni-directional coverage and long distance communication at Broadside of antenna

- Sloping Dipole configuration is suitable for short or medium range omni-directional coverage

- A Bent Dipole or Inverted L configuration is suitable for low frequency ground wave communication

- A Base Feed Vertical configuration is suitable for omni-directional ground wave and long distance sky wave communication

- A Sloping V configuration is suitable for directional medium range communication

- Inverted V configuration is suitable for directional long range communication
