The AWD series of utra wideband discone antenna is lightweight, portable, quickly assembled and designed to MIL grade for VHF and UHF communications. The disk portion of the discone antenna is formed of solid/tube, and the cone portion is formed of separate retractable rod/tube elements. When disassembled, the discone antenna can be carried in a backpack. The discone antenna can be assembled in less than ten minutes.

The small size wide band passive discone antenna when packed comes with cone and disc elements removed from the antenna body for ease of packing and shipment.
